Hello aspiring athlete/individual. This is the pillar that most directly aligns with my why. I'm excited to be able to offer this services having been a part of a number of these sessions then doing multiple accredited courses on applied mental performance for sports.

 

You're doing the work on the field, court, gym, office, etc. but there's one important area that individuals and athletes have neglected in their careers for years. These sessions can help give you practical tools to improve your mental performance and resilience, they can address a particular performance issue, help with tools to mentally get passed a resent injury or set back and so much more.

Goal Setting

It's hard to find examples of high performing athletes that do not say goal setting was a big part of the journey.

For athletes just shaping their goals to athletes who have already achieved many of their goals but are not sure how to get to the next milestone this is a great session that can and should be revisited often.

Session outcomes: Understanding of SMART goals, long/mid/short term goals created and analyzed, intro to practical goal tracking practice & more.

Talented players can have issues with making it to the next level but not having ability to perform under pressure. Based on issues you're having, this session gives practical tools such as:

  • Tools for reframing, acceptance and CBT

  • Developing a pre-performance routine

  • Tools to only concern yourself with your game, not others perception of how you're doing

  • Develop ability to be CONSCIOUS of your anxiety levels

  • Tools to take a moment to yourself (break in competition)

Being able to focus on a task or multiple tasks is a massive skill to have. This in addition to tools self-talk can be a powerful duo for bothathletes and high performing indiviauls.

This session concentrates on developing an understanding around attentional focus and provides practical tools for self-talk and to development appropriate self confidence.

Introducing a number of practical visualization/imagery techniques such as:

  • Breathing techniques

  • Using all of your senses

  • Understanding of internal, external and kinesthetic imagery

  • Meditative visualization

In today's fast-paced and ever-changing world, it's crucial to cultivate resilience and mental toughness to thrive in both personal and professional aspects of life. This course is designed to help individuals develop the necessary skills and mindset to navigate through challenges, setbacks, and adversity with strength and grace. Through a combination of practical techniques, psychological insights, and interactive exercises, participants will learn how to build resilience, enhance mental toughness, and cultivate a growth mindset.

Psychological well-being plays a crucial role in an athlete's performance and overall satisfaction in their sports career. This course is designed to explore the intersection between psychological well-being and athlete identity, providing athletes with the necessary tools and knowledge to enhance their mental health, self-awareness, and performance. Through a combination of theory, practical exercises, and real-life case studies, participants will gain a deeper understanding of their own athlete identity and learn strategies to promote psychological well-being.

Burnout and overtraining are common challenges faced by athletes in today's competitive sports environment. This course is designed to help athletes understand the signs, causes, and consequences of burnout and overtraining, as well as provide them with practical strategies to prevent and manage these issues. Through a combination of theoretical knowledge, case studies, and interactive exercises, participants will gain the necessary tools to maintain a healthy balance, optimize performance, and foster long-term athletic success.

Anxiety and depression are common mental health challenges that athletes may face throughout their sporting careers. This course is designed to equip athletes with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively manage anxiety and depression in the context of sports. Through a combination of theoretical understanding, practical strategies, and real-life case studies, participants will learn how to recognize, cope with, and seek support for anxiety and depression, ultimately enhancing their mental well-being and performance.

My Why: I get a ton of energy when building meaningful connections through team and sport environments. I have been successful in my purpose when, those around me have ambitious goals that scare them.
